One of our Hot Seats asked Dan a question about his business.
He is in the very competitive printing business.
Where many people are shopping either by price or speed.
Either they want the lowest price.
Or they want it done in a jiffy.
They are making decisions not on what printer might get them the best outcome.
Dan’s big point to this Member was that “The Money Is In The Money Making” not in the selling of the media, in this case print.
His advice was to expand upon what the Member had begun to do…the start helping with the strategy and the writing of the documents to be printed.
Instead of being just another printer you can become a trusted advisor and someone who can not be compared elsewhere.
Few printers know how to write good copy.
Few printers understand how to craft an irresistible offer.
For this printer, transforming from a printer to a Marketing Advisor / Strategist and Copywriter puts them into a much better position to attract ideal clients, rather than the next print job that shows up at the front door.
There is also A LOT more margin in the strategy and copywriting than there is in the printing.
And there is A LOT more value for the client helping them with the money making than just providing them with printing as a service.
Your homework for the weekend is to take a look at your business and find new ways that you can become more valuable to your customers, clients, patients, or subscribers.
