Today I’m going to kill two birds with one stone. A lesson for you and a new automated, evergreen email for our new Member welcome sequence.
One of the biggest lesson’s that Dan teaches us is creating a connection with your customers, clients, and patients.
Not just at a technical level, but also at a personal level.
One way to do this is early in your communication, begin to reveal a bit about yourself that’s totally unrelated to the “business”.
I’ve created simple messages like this for all of my businesses. As an example, for my Florida condo rentals I have a version, for my Kids Bowl Free business another version, for my restaurant another version, and below is going to be my new version for Magnetic Marketing.
We’re in the process of having our entire team write an email like this that will go to all new Members.
We want to create connections with our Members.
By disclosing hobbies, things we like to do in our free time, books we’re reading etc., you can build connections.

My name is Darin Spindler and I’m the Chief Marketing Officer here at Magnetic Marketing.
I’d like to introduce myself to you so I can become more than just another email in your in-box; I know you get many a day and I'd love to be the one that you WANT to receive and read.
I’ve also asked our entire team to introduce themselves to you over the next few weeks so you get to know the team and where to go for help when you need it.
I’ve been a 20+ year student and implementor of Dan Kennedy’s Magnetic Marketing and Direct-Response Marketing.
You may know me as the “Bowling Guy,” I’ve been featured by Dan Kennedy in a couple of his books, the newsletter and I’m also a contributing author to Dan’s No B.S. Price Strategy: The Ultimate No Holds Barred, Kick Butt, Take No Prisoners Guide to Profits, Power, and Prosperity.
Over the past 13 years, my Kids Bowl Free program has generated more than 30 million new customers for our bowling center clients.
I’m not just here to help you improve your business, I’m currently invested in and operating three different companies including a bricks and mortar restaurant.
Every day I’m fighting the good fight at the Main Street level and also helping thousands of clients around the globe which gives me a unique perspective to be helpful to you on your journey with us.
I have a daughter named Presley. YES, she’s named after Elvis Presley. Presley’s Mom is a HUGE Elvis fan and at the time she was born we didn’t know any other Presley’s. A unique name with an interesting story.
I’m also a 6-time Ironman…if you’re unfamiliar…Ironman is the LONG triathlon races where we swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and then run a marathon. 140.6 miles in under 17 hours is the goal. I’ve finished races in Wisconsin (2x), Santa Rosa, Louisville, Florida and Cozumel. I’m aiming to complete 12 races so I can compete at the home of Ironman in Kona, HI.
Currently I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but spend a lot of time in Marco Island, Florida. I have two rental properties on the island and we have our Kids Bowl Free headquarters on the island. I’ve recently purchased a condo to make my home in Hideaway Beach on the island.

Dan has his own personal modus operandi which includes limited interactions and locking himself in his basement to work.
My personal modus operandi includes interesting, and unplanned conversations. I love working with my windows wide open at the condo and writing as I overlook the beach, listening to the birds chirp and the waves crash on the shore.
My most impactful Dan Kennedy product was the Ultimate Sales Letter book. It was my first, it got me started. In just a few hours, I learned the importance of copy that sells and how to literally write any paycheck that I’d desire at literally any time. Powerful!
My favorite program is Influential Writing and Communication, in my opinion it’s the holy grail of what Dan really teaches. This course has really shaped the way that I write, think and market.
