I am back with another peek inside of Dan Kennedy's vault of marketing resources for day eleven of the 21 days of Dan Kennedy and the Magnetic Marketing Search Engine. For the past couple of days, you've been receiving these emails and watching the videos we’ve created, where I release one thing each day that can be found within the Search Engine that I believe can be hugely beneficial to any business. 

The pieces that I have highlighted over the last couple of days contained a lot of outrageous and humorous marketing content that I really enjoy, but that isn’t everyone’s thing. So, today I want to walk you through a more simple piece of marketing that can be quickly and easily swiped and deployed, and contains very straightforward content. 

So, what I want to focus on today is a Sales Letter for Dan’s events in 2003. He sent this out around the new year, so it had a Happy New Year theme, and its purpose was to act as a final warning for registrations.

A part of the Sales Letter read, “If you have not already registered for the 2003 events, the earliest registration discounts have been extended, only until January 30th. However, events are already filling up fast and fast action is advised to avoid being shut out.” Inside the receiver would find a desk calendar marked with the schedule of events for the year. Something like this is lightweight and flat making it cheap and easy to mail, yet it acts as a constant reminder to the receiver of the events and the deadline. 

At the top of the calendar Dan included a couple of quotes, “In every adversity lies the seed of equal or greater benefit,” “The best advantage is to know something others do not know,” and “Making excuses and making money are mutually exclusive skills.” The sale is contingent upon the attitude of the salesperson, not the prospect. So, as a prospect reading these quotes, it gives you an idea of the kind of mindset Dan and those working with him have and it works to create a positive association that they are going to be seeing and reading every day right in front of them. 

This kind of mailer can really be implemented in any business and it doesn’t necessarily need to be used as a deadline warning, but overall it is a strategy that can increase consumer engagement and keep the prospect thinking about you and your business over any of your competitors. Again, this is super simple, easy, and cheap, yet I’m sure many businesses have never even thought about implementing something like this. 

This really goes to show how great of an asset the Search Engine can be for your business; this is only one piece of content out of the endless resources we’ve uploaded.
