It’s Darin from Magnetic Marketing.
Today is day sixteen of the 21 days of Dan Kennedy and the Magnetic Marketing Search Engine. I am excited and ready to give you another look inside Dan’s vault of marketing resources that we have uploaded into the Search Engine for your unlimited access and use!
Today I’m going to focus on two Sales Letters that Dan wrote for one of his Mid-Year Events.
The first one is all about how to write good copy and the headline reads, “How To Write Good Copy, All The Money That There Is To Get, Whether They Want To Give It To You Or Not.”
If you didn’t know, Dan is a fan of comics, so there is a custom comic written by one of his Members on the front that reads, “Andy, what’s happening?” “Look Mandy, thanks to the ancient secrets of Dan Kennedy the copy is writing itself.” Then on the inside you’ll find another custom comic, which is essentially the theme of the Sales Letter.
The reason I wanted to share this with you is because over these series of emails and videos I have shown you many of Dan’s Sales Letters. Some are full color, some have 3D elements, some are black and white, some are tri-color. This one is a comic theme. I point this out because some very common questions we get are, “Should my sales letter be long or short?” and “Should my sales letter be black and white or color?”
There is no single, correct answer.
You have to think to yourself, “What will speak to my customers, clients, or patients, and what are they likely to respond well to?”
The second piece that went along with this was Dan’s Mind-Hijacking Sales Letter. This headline reads, “The Advanced Invitation To The Most Dangerous Two Day Seminar With Dan Kennedy, Ever. Underneath it goes on with a formatting similar to this,
Persuasion & Sales,
Influence, & Manipulation
for Clients, Customers, Patients or Donors
for use in
PRESENTING And NEGOTIATION
and in One-To-Many and in Media Presentations
IDEAL FOR "LARGE DOLLAR
But Powerful For Virtually Any Entrepreneur With The "Stomach" For It.
I wanted to include this as well, because it shows yet another format and theme that Dan uses when writing Sales Letter copy and you can certainly learn a lot just from looking at the headlines, sub-headlines, and structure that Dan creates in each of these Sales Letters.
The really awesome thing is that you can look at all of these as an outsider, as if you are Dan’s target audience and he is sending all of these pieces of marketing to you.
Then, you can take a moment to think about how each different sales letter makes you feel, if you enjoy the theme and the style, and if it makes you want to respond.
Then it’s really easy to think about your own target audience and match them up with one of these styles and themes, so that you can quickly and easily build one for your business.
Why would you not want unlimited access to all of this? It’s literally at your fingertips with easy accessibility on any smartphone, tablet, or computer. Yesterday, I took you through the Sales Letter for the 2008 Annual Marketing and Money-Making SuperConference in Nashville, Tennessee, which was actually my first live event as a Member.
The reason I shared this piece with you is because I want to give you some of the strategy that was behind it, which can be super helpful for businesses trying to create a quality Sales Letter.
