A Christmas Shopping Secret

I’m a Mail-Order Catalog Shopper and there are still millions of us.

We get real printed catalogs in the mail, we sit and go through them, fold down corners, and eventually fill out and mail in or fax in an order form.

If you are not a Catalog Shopper, then there’s a SECRET you do not know, that can be used in a lot of situations. The TYPICAL Catalog Shopper picks out one or two items and fills out the order form – then stops; and says “As long as I’m going to the trouble of ordering, I think I’ll check the catalog again to see if there’s anything I missed I should add to my order.” And most times, he or she finds something to add. I do, almost every time. I upsell myself.

This is so much more powerful than the online “thank you page” with one additional offer or even a series of offers. This puts me back at the front door of “the store” and sends me browsing through the entire “store” a second time. The really smart cataloguers often do something like….
